ÉîÒ¹¸£Àû¹ú²ú¾«Æ·

Professor Asim Bhaumik received his Ph.D. in ÉîÒ¹¸£Àû¹ú²ú¾«Æ· from CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, India in 1997. After completing his Ph.D. degree he moved to The University of Tokyo, Japan as a JSPS Post-Doctoral Fellow from 1997-1999. Then during 1999-2001 he was an Associate Researcher at Toyota Central R & D Labs., Inc. Nagoya, Japan.
After that, he joined the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata, India, where he is currently working as a Senior Professor. He has published over 525 original research articles and 16 patents with over 28000 citations. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of ÉîÒ¹¸£Àû¹ú²ú¾«Æ· (FRSC). His research interests are: exploring novel organic, inorganic and organic-inorganic hybrid porous materials for the energy and environmental applications, developing heterogeneous catalysts for CO2 fixation reactions into fuels and fine chemicals, and green hydrogen. Professor Bhaumik is an associate editor of Green ÉîÒ¹¸£Àû¹ú²ú¾«Æ·.

Raghavan received his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, working with Professor J. Chandrasekhar. After a couple of years of postdoctoral research in the laboratory of Professor Christopher Hadad at the Ohio State University, Columbus (USA). He took up an independent position in the department of chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, where he is currently a professor and the class of 1998 chair in quantum computing as well as the convener for supercomputing.
Raghavan's research aims to synergize the power of computational chemistry with experimental organic chemistry, particularly of immediate relevance to homogeneous catalysis. Studies focus on reaction mechanism, role of weak noncovalent interactions in asymmetric catalysis, in silico catalyst design using a combination of computational chemistry and machine intelligence methods. He is an elected member of the board of World Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists (WATOC), Asia Pacific Association of Theoretical and Computational Chemists (APATCC) and an elected fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences. He is on the editorial advisory board of leading journals published by the Royal Society of ÉîÒ¹¸£Àû¹ú²ú¾«Æ·, the American Chemical Society, and Wiley. He has received a number of national and international awards such as Charles Coulson lecture (2017) at the University of Georgia, Athens, USA, IIT Bombay excellence in teaching award and the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize in Chemical Science for the year 2019.

Professor Rai obtained his PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2008 followed by postdoctoral research at University of Toronto. Professor Rai is a recipient of several awards including J. C. Bose Fellowship, Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award, Distinguished Teacher Award, IISER Bhopal, Research Partnerships & Industry Translation Award (CRS) and Pioneering Investigator - Chemical Society Reviews. He is also an Elected Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, G. D. Gokhale Lectureship Fellow and Fellow of Royal Society of ÉîÒ¹¸£Àû¹ú²ú¾«Æ·.
At IISER Bhopal, Professor Rai’s group focuses on chemical methods for "PRECISION engineering of PROTEINS". Professor Rai’s group has been working on establishing core principles to regulate chemoselectivity, site-selectivity, modularity, residue selectivity, and protein selectivity with diverse proteinogenic residues, DIN or DisINtegrate theory to enable hypothesis-driven research and, multi-equilibria system to establish a new landscape of reactivity and selectivity principles at the interface of chemistry and biology.

Professor Chintalapudi is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of ÉîÒ¹¸£Àû¹ú²ú¾«Æ· at IIT Tirupati. He obtained his PhD from the University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad, followed by post-doctoral research with Prof. Stephen Clark, School of ÉîÒ¹¸£Àû¹ú²ú¾«Æ·, University of Glasgow, UK and with Prof. Edward Anderson, ÉîÒ¹¸£Àû¹ú²ú¾«Æ· Research Laboratory, University of Oxford, UK. He is a recipient of Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions and Newton international postdoctoral fellowship. At IIT Tirupati, Professor Chintalapudi’s group focuses on Total synthesis of bioactive natural products, asymmetric catalysis, combined catalysis (transition metal/organocatalysis) and chemistry of allenamides and ynamides.

Gopinath completed his Ph.D. from the dept. of organic chemistry, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2011. He then moved to Tokyo, Japan, to work as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Microbial ÉîÒ¹¸£Àû¹ú²ú¾«Æ· with Prof. Shibasaki and later moved to Columbia University, New York, U.S.A, to work as a postdoctoral research scientist in the chemistry department with Prof. Ronald Breslow. Presently, he is an associate professor in the chemistry department at IISER-Tirupati. He is a recipient of AvH Fellowship for Experienced Researchers, ECRA (Early Career Research Award), and Ramanujan fellow. His group is broadly focused on new method development and Total synthesis. Gopinath’s main research focus is to develop new synthetic strategies using catalysis as the main tool with special focus on visible light photoredox catalysis, metal catalysis & dual catalysis.

Dr Kelly carried out his undergraduate and post graduate education at University of Liverpool, UK, obtaining his PhD studying lanthanide catalysis under Professor Helen Aspinall. He joined the Royal Society of ÉîÒ¹¸£Àû¹ú²ú¾«Æ·’s editorial staff in 2004 and became Executive Editor of the RSC’s organic chemistry journals – including Organic & Biomolecular ÉîÒ¹¸£Àû¹ú²ú¾«Æ· and Natural Product Reports – in 2010. He is currently leading the general chemistry portfolio and is the Executive Editor of ChemComm and Chem Soc Rev.

Lijina is an Assistant Editorial Development Manager at the Royal Society of ÉîÒ¹¸£Àû¹ú²ú¾«Æ·. As part of her role, she works across various disciplines and societies of chemical sciences and support the journals. Lijina completed her integrated PhD in chemistry from the Indian institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram and subsequently she joined RSC.
