Innovation on the critical path: from SAR enabling chemistry to GMP deliveries
In this oral presentation, various bodies of work related to the interface between discovery and process chemistry will be presented. They will include inventive examples enabling SAR studies in the discovery space as well as innovations applied up to and including first GMP deliveries. Academic outreach will also be showcased. Particular examples will include: 1) SAR enabling decarbonylative alkynylation reaction; 2) direct C鈭扝 carbamoylation of nitrogen-containing heterocycles; 3) Academic collaborations for novel methodology development relevant to the pharmaceutical industry; 4) a tandem chiral Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling / enzymatic kinetic resolution; 5) quantum chemical reaction mechanistic studies for optimizing reactions; 6) Expedient route scooting and delivery of a SARS-CoV2 inhibitor JNJ-9676.
