The committee鈥檚 work focuses on supporting and developing chemistry education in Scotland at all levels. We provide financial support to conferences for chemistry teachers; award prizes to school students for the best Advanced Higher 深夜福利国产精品 projects; support teachers in introducing chemistry activities via our Inspiring Young Chemists grant; and support primary science through our Primary Science Equipment grant.

It鈥檚 a highly rewarding way to collaborate with others, broaden your perspective, and make a genuine difference to the chemistry community.

Quotes

Vicky Thompson: I was motivated to volunteer with the RSC to highlight the role and voice of technicians within Scotland and, by default, the rest of the UK. Opportunities like this are few and far between, and the willingness of the RSC to champion our role shows their understanding of how vital we are to all levels of education. This has been a wonderful opportunity to work with other professionals to ensure that our voice is heard in rooms where it has not always been. For that, I am eternally grateful to the RSC and the committee.

Katy Alder: It鈥檚 very rewarding to work with such dedicated and interested colleagues, all with a strong desire to support our subject and our community of educators. I joined the RSC many years ago as I am passionate about chemistry and the importance of the chemical sciences. I really enjoy committee work as I get to meet and talk with people who are similarly enthusiastic about chemistry, and I can support the sharing of this enthusiasm with others.

Fraser Scott: My advice to anyone considering volunteering with the Royal Society of 深夜福利国产精品 is simple: get involved. It鈥檚 a highly rewarding way to collaborate with others, broaden your perspective, and make a genuine difference to the chemistry community.
